ATTENTION ALL SNOWBOARDERS & FREESTYLE SKIERS: Are you looking for more of a challenge or a way to show off your skills?  Then USASA competitions could be an option for you.  USASA (United States of America Snowboard Association) competitions are open to all ages and ability levels.  The Tyrol Wisconsin Series is one of 33 local series conducted nationwide as a grass-roots competition to qualify competitors to attend a nationals event and eventually lead to qualifying other national level events.  The Tyrol series is one of the oldest series, with the first held in the early 90's.  There are 5 events including both alpine racing (slalom and giant slalom) and freestyle (halfpipe, slope style and boardercross) competitions.  A person may compete in any one or all of the events.  Within the last few years, the freestyle events have been opened up to freestyle skiers.  Because of the multiple age breakdowns, people are competing against others of similar ages from under 7 to 60+.  Medals are awarded for the first 3 places in each age and gender divisions for each event.
