Private Lesson
Even the most expert skier/snowboarder benefits from a lesson! A private lesson allows you to learn at your own speed, ask questions and work on specific skills. It's just $42 per hour: $20 per hour each additional person of similar ability level. No age restrictions. Reservations recommended.
  Beginner Lessons
  • FREE one hour group lesson for beginners with purchase of full price ticket and paid rental.  Must be 11 years or older.  Last lesson time: 7 PM
  • $15 Lesson: one hour introductory group lesson (6yrs and older).  Available every day except Tuesdays.
  • $12 Lesson: one hour introductory group lesson (6yrs and older).  Available only on Tuesdays.
Children's Ski/Snowboard Class
Teach the little ones the right way to ski/snowboard at Tyrol's Ski School. They'll learn to ski or snowboard with qualified instructors in a small class. It's fun for kids, and gives them the confidence they need to tackle the tows, the runs, and the rules of etiquette. Offered weekends and holidays only, plus 12/21/09 through 1/1/10, 10AM to 4PM. Purchase lessons by the hour. Includes ticket and rental, plus helmet rental during lesson session. Ages 4-5 years: $25 per hour per child, maximum 2 children per instructor. Ages 6 to 10 years: $25 per hour per child, maximum 5 children per instructor. All-area ticket for remainder of day for 6-10 years old: $10. Rentals for remainder of day for all ages: $10. Reservations recommended.
"Don't View it, Do it"
Mom and Dad can have as much fun as the kids on weekends. Bring your children ages 4-10 for a 2-hour children's lesson, ski or snowboard rental, and 2-hour ticket and Mom or Dad can get a 2-hour lift ticket as part of the same package. The package is only $60 for one parent and one child. $45 for each additional child and $15 for the second parent. If Mom or Dad need rentals just add $10 for rental equipment for each parent. Reservations recommended.
Family Night Wednesday Nights Learn to Ski or Snowboard, Reservation Required
One-time introductory offer for first-time never-evers.  Includes beginner area ticket, equipment rental and lesson for only $12.  Reservations required.  Wednesday nights - families only, beginning 1/6/10.  Check-in-time: 5:15pm, Lesson time: 6pm to 8pm; .  Limited to 6 years and older.  Parent(s) and children must be first-time skiers or boarders.  Parents must accompany children during lesson.  Limit 2 children per adult.
Preschool Ski Class
For the smallest skiers in the family (ages 3 to 5), enroll 'em in this special class. Tyrol Basin's Preschool Ski Program develops balance and agility in your child through the sport of skiing. Ski instructors will work with your child for 1 hour, give them a short break and snack, then finish off the session back on the snow. The four-week program meets once each week on Wednesday or Thursday mornings from 10AM to 12PM. Small classes fill quickly.  Ages 3-5. $160 for the four week program including ski equipment, helmet rental, and snacks.
